The initial brief was to create a patio space to catch the afternoon and evening sun.The design developed to incorporate a garden room, outdoor bar, built in benches and large planting beds with an exotic theme for planting.

The garden room was on the top-level above the house patio surface. It has a log stove fireplace, under floor heating and a triple sliding door system with triple glazed windows. The outdoor bar is plumbed with a sink and a natural quartz bespoke counter with leg. There are contrasting materials here that work well to create a contemporary Scandinavian style space. After our clients spend time enjoying the sun on their deck they have the option to retreat into the garden room as the sun goes down and light the fire for comfort!
